Campaign Update on the Fight to End HIV/AIDS in Africa

In March, the United Nations Special Programme on AIDS (UNAIDS) released a report titled “AIDS in Africa: Three Scenarios to 2025”, which aimed to predict the extent of the epidemic in the next 20 years, depending on what possible actions are taken today. In the worst-case scenario, it is predicted that up to 80 million Africans could be living with HIV by 2025. In the best-case scenario, where HIV/AIDS is seen as “an exceptional crisis requiring an exceptional response”, 43 million new infections are averted by 2025.  Go >
